I recently observed juvederm being administered to treat sunken eyes. What product works best and what technique , quantity would you use for arcus marginalis and nasojugal fold? what technique is best?
A: juvederm for lower eyelid area
Juvederm works well as a filler for the lower eyelid area in certain patients. Those who have a pronounced “teartrough deformity” or hollow area under the eyelids can be treated effectively with one to two cc’s of Juvederm. The injection typically has minimal to no bruising and is performed with local anesthesia and topical (cream) anesthesia. The effects are seem immediately and last for 6-12 months. Restylane can also be used in this area with good results.
Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist who is experienced in this type of injection.
