A: recovery from tummy tuck and buttock augmentation

If you are planning to have a tummy tuck and buttock augmentation (fat transfer to buttock/Brazilian buttock lift) I would recommend taking from 10-14 days off of work.  You should avoid heavy lifting for about 4-6 weeks.  The most important aspect of the recovery is to avoid sitting for at least 2 weeks, as this will minimize the trauma to the fat cells in the buttock area and allow greater survival and better shape. You may have to modify your sitting by using pillows under your thighs or sleeping and sitting on your side, rather than on your back/buttock.

Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon prior to scheduling this combination of procedures.
