Male breast reduction is indicated for men with excess breast tissue, also known as gynecomastia. This condition affects roughly one third of the adult male population.  The treatment involves a combination of liposuction of the fatty tissue of the chest and direct excision or removal of breast tissue.  This is typically accomplished through an incision around the lower portion of the areola.  Some cases may even require removal of excess skin depending on the degree of gynecomastia.

Most men are back to work in about three days and will need to wear a compressive vest, which we provide, for about four weeks.  Heavy lifting and strenuous activity with the upper body is to be avoided during the first four to six weeks after surgery.
